| With hardly seven days left for the biennial elections to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on March 17, Jaganmohan announced the launch of his new party and unfurled the party flag.This amidst reports that his followers in the Congress had offered support to an independent candidate. The rebel Congress leader on Friday named his party YSR Congress Party during his tour of East Godavari district. He unfurled the party flag and made a formal announcement of his political entity at the family estate of Idupulapaya on Saturday morning where the last remains of his father YSR were buried. A memorial is under construction at the spot.
